Welcome to our exciting Musical Theatre Classes, where young performers can explore their creativity and shine on stage! Designed for two age groups, 5-8 and 8-12, our classes offer a fun and comprehensive introduction to the world of musical theatre. Each four-week session culminates in a short performance, giving students the opportunity to showcase their new skills in acting, singing, and dancing.

What to Expect:

  • Theatre Games: Our classes begin with engaging theatre games to warm up, build confidence, and foster teamwork. These activities are designed to be fun and interactive, helping students to develop their improvisation skills and stage presence.
  • Musical Theatre Number: Each session focuses on learning a musical theatre number, which will incorporate acting, singing, and dancing. Students will work together to bring a scene from a popular musical to life, mastering both the choreography and the emotional aspects of the performance.
  • Age-Appropriate Levels:
    • Ages 5-8: Young performers will enjoy a playful and supportive environment where they can express themselves freely. Classes are tailored to introduce the basics of musical theatre in a fun and engaging way.
    • Ages 8-12: Older students will delve deeper into the techniques of musical theatre, focusing on more complex choreography and character development. This level aims to challenge and inspire young actors, singers, and dancers to refine their talents.

Class Structure:

  • Warm-Up: Fun theatre games and physical exercises to get everyone ready for class.
  • Skills Development: Focused exercises in acting, singing, and dancing.
  • Musical Theatre Number: Rehearsal of a selected scene or song from a well-known musical.
  • Cool Down: Reflection and relaxation activities to end the class on a positive note.

Performance:

  • End-of-Session Showcase: At the conclusion of each four-week session, students will present a short performance for family and friends. This showcase allows them to demonstrate their progress and experience the thrill of performing in front of an audience.
